Gratitude Safari ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Gratitude Safari mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Information We Collect

Journal Entries&Personal Data You Provide
All journal entries, your name, and preferences (reflection time, prompt style) are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, collect, or store your journal content on our servers. -
Profile Image
If you add a profile photo, it is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. -
Analytics Data
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data to improve the App. This includes:-
App opens and screen views

Feature usage (e.g., entries created, achievements unlocked, searches performed)

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you or read your journal entries.

Subscription Data
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes your purchase through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data. -
Daily Prompts
We use Appwrite to deliver daily journal prompts. This involves a read-only request to fetch prompt content. No personal data is sent to Appwrite.

Data Storage&Security
All personal content (journal entries, name, preferences, achievements) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. If you delete the App, this data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us.
Biometric Authentication
If you enable Face ID or biometric lock, authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We do not collect, store, or have access to any biometric data.
Notifications
If you enable daily reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
